Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)

The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) replaced NVQs (throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland) as the way to develop vocational skills.  In Scotland, SNVQs have been replaced by the SCQF.

Below is a video produced by Skills for Care, which you can play to find out more about the QCF.

The QCF is far more flexible than the previous NVQ approach.  For example, it supports a “mix and match” approach to developing workplace skills, which can be developed in a “bite size piece” style of learning.

Mulberry House DVD based training and social-care.tv e-learning provide courses that contribute, directly, to achieving QCF qualifications.
